I finally got around to posting pictures from my recent trip to Las Vegas and San Diego here. I went with my mom, my dad and my grandma (so you can imagine how much action I got). This was the first time since she was 13 years old that my grandma has been more than 50 miles or so from home. She was a real trooper, and we had a wonderful time. I also got to sort of reconnect with my dad. He works two jobs and worked second shift for my entire upbringing, so we never spent a lot of time together. Anyway, if you take him somewhere where he doesn't have the opportunity to rake the lawn bald like a cat with a hot spot, he loosens up and has a pretty good time. We wandered around the outside of Binions for right around an hour, because we could see where we needed to be but couldn't get there. Good times.



I also met my second accordion guy at Batistas Hole in the Wall! Since my two accordioneers have completely different styles, I've decided to make paper dolls of them and battle rap them. I even have a miniature rottie! It came with my little boy's pirate playset. Pics to follow. Batistas is wonderful. If you're in Vegas, go.

If you like crepes, go here! I had the best apple cheese crepes EVAR! They were delicious and did just the right blood sugar trick after a night of moderate to heavy drinking. And by moderate to heavy, I mean just plain heavy.
